Announcement Highlights were the 733 MHz G4s that have true DVD-ROM cutters bundled.  The cutter alone cost $5000.00 yesterday, these new machines are around $3700 complete - like a free computer for those of us producing DVDs.  These also support 4 slots- another important feature for those of us in the professional video industry.
DVD players in the US has topped 10,000,000 units, and is doubling each year.
Until today, in software only, the file took 25 times or more, to compress.  That means that to compress 1 hour of video or film one would need to let the computer crunch for 25 hours.
APPLE announced 2x asymmetrical software encoding for MPEG2 (DVD Video Format).  That turns the job from a 25 hour job to just 2 hours!  Big breakthrough for production.
iDVD was demonstrated, and All Planet's technical team can announce that the interface and ease of use, combined with the newly announced bundle deals makes this not only the most affordable but the most practical solution for most DVD authoring needs.

This is HUGE!  For us, DVD Studio PRO, the product's big brother, will start selling later this month for under $1,000!
