Alexander Mikhailovich
Ivanov.
Was born in Leningrad January 15
1950. He graduated from secondary art school in
1967. In 1972 he graduated from
the St.Petersburg State Art-Industrial Academy (the former Mukhina
Higher Art-Industrial School) as an interior designer.
Was studying design under Professor
Y.N.Lukin, painting under V.V.Vatenin. Since his graduation was working
in his professional area, as an architect and interior designer, teaching
at college and was working as a freelance illustrator. Now works as a professional
illustrator at the 'Redactor' Publishing house.
During all years he was painting
and drawing and participating in many exhibitions at home and abroad.
In 1984 started to participate
in exhibitions with Independent fraternity of
experimental art 'AEFA'.
In 1985 he and his friends founded
art group 'Ostrov' (Island), which was
successfully exhibiting during
ten years.
Alexander Ivanov was traveling
and exhibiting in many countries. He was in the
USA, England, Germany, Finland
and China.
His Paintings are in many private
collections at home and abroad and also in
collection of Henri Nannen Kunsthalle
in Emden Germany.
Alexander Ivanov lives with his
wife and son in the center of the St.Petersburg.
