Yuriy Backrushev was born in 1961 in Ijevsk, Russia. He graduated
the Academy of Fine Arts of Moscow, the Sorikov Institute, in 1993, where
he studied under Professor Salakhov. He worked with the Berlin School
of High Arts (HDK) in 1992, and was a participant at the Moscow Central
House of Artists en 1993. His works are in collections in Germany,
France, the US and Canada.
