Where were you born?
I was born in Moscow in 1959.

Where do you live presently?
I live in Moscow.

Please describe your artwork.
City life scenes, romanticism, pastel palette, sweet melancholy.

What is your favorite technique?
I use mixed media in my work: tempera, acrylic.

Which artistic medium is your favorite to express yourself?
Impressionism, Post-Impressionism.

What event inspired you to become a professional artist and at what age were you when that event occurred? 
Probably, my genes, for it was a matter of chance. I have been painting professionally since 1988 after the retirement from the Army. Before that I was an amateur artist.

What has been the most fortunate event that has happened in your art career?
The sale of my first painting.

Who has been the most influential person in shaping your artwork?
Moscow artist Dimitry Kozlov, Camille Pissarro, Van Goghís biography and artistic life.

What is your favorite subject for your art?
Infrequent sense of satisfaction from the completed work;
Genuine, sincere interest of the public, favorable reviews of art critics and relatives.

Works by the artist have been exhibited for fifteen years in Vernisage Exhibition hall, Moscow.
